Forepoling
GeoRocFor forepoling system is primarily used for umbrella vaults during tunnel construction. This system is designed for ease of use and efficiency, offering a straightforward approach to reinforcing tunnel roofs. The system involves drilling tubes, typically about 15 meters in length, horizontally into the tunnel face to form a semicircular pattern. These tubes act as a support structure for the roof, helping to stabilize it while excavation progresses. By reinforcing the roof, the forepoling system enables safer and more efficient tunneling operations, facilitating better production and reducing the risk of collapse during the excavation process.
Additionally, during the installation of the tubes, the GeoRocFor system is used. This system includes a driver bit and a drilling crown, which are fixed to the casing while drilling. These components help to guide the casing into place and ensure that it remains securely installed as the drilling progresses. The combination of the forepoling method and the GeoRocFor system provides enhanced stability to the roof structure, improving the safety and efficiency of the tunnel excavation process.
